There’s something powerful about hearing people tell their own stories, in their own words, with honesty, grit and a genuine love for where they come from. That’s exactly why we’ve launched LocationLincs LOUD , a podcast dedicated to championing Lincolnshire as a serious player in film and TV, while spotlighting the people shaping its creative future.

Episode 1 sets the tone perfectly, featuring Lincolnshire’s own Thomas Turgoose. Best known for his breakout role in This Is England, Thomas brings a raw and grounded perspective on the industry, from growing up in Grimsby to navigating a career in film and television. This isn’t a polished PR conversation; it’s real, reflective, and rooted in place. He speaks openly about identity, opportunity, and why telling regional stories matters more than ever.

That honesty sits at the heart of LOUD. This podcast exists because too often, counties like Lincolnshire are overlooked in favour of established production hubs. But that narrative is outdated. With diverse landscapes, coastal towns, industrial backdrops, and untapped talent, Lincolnshire offers something genuinely different, both creatively and practically. LOUD is about shifting perception, opening doors, and making sure the industry hears what’s already happening here.

And this is just the beginning. Upcoming episodes will feature a range of voices across the screen sector, from producers and directors to crew, educators and emerging talent, all connected by a shared belief that Lincolnshire has a vital role to play in the UK’s production landscape. We’ll be digging into the realities of making work outside traditional centres, exploring new opportunities, and building a clearer picture of what filming in the county can offer.

For producers, commissioners and creatives considering their next project, this is an open invitation. Lincolnshire is ready. With growing infrastructure, supportive networks, and a passion for storytelling that runs deep, the county is more than a backdrop, it’s a collaborator. LocationLincs LOUD is here to connect you with that ecosystem and show what’s possible when you look beyond the obvious.

This is Lincolnshire, amplified. And we’re just getting started.

LocationLincs LOUD is available from Friday 8th May across Spotify, Apple, Amazon and all major podcast providers.

The full visual capture will also be available on the LocationLincs YouTube Channel

The Podcast is produced by Keal Productions , created in partnership with the School of Creative Arts at the University of Lincoln, and sponsored by Associated British Ports.
